28 September 1944 - Mission #248 to Madeburg, Germany: The B-17 received 540 holes. The ball-turret glass was fractured. S/Sgt Arthur Coyle (BTG) had glass in his eye and was hospitalized. The pilots were 2Lt Frederick Gano and 2Lt Wesley J. Flanders.
