Crash landed in France 12 Sep 44 after completing 93 Missions.
Miss Liberty never aborted a mission for mechanical problems. After Miss Liberty crash landed, Meyer crewed B-17 Luscious Lady for 30 missions without an abort. For his service as Crew Chief, M/Sgt Willis G. Meyer was awarded the Bronze Star.
