(KIA-POW) on 25 June 1943 mission #44 to Hamburg, Germany in B-17F #42-5382 Witches Tit (360BS) PU-E. The B-17 was lost after being hit by anti-aircraft gun fire. Crashed in the Oldenburg, Germany area. This was the first mission of the new 41st CBW 303rd, 379th & 384th BG(H) team that remained intact during the balance of the WWII 8th AF air war.
