Over 530 members and friends attended and delighted in the Southern charm and hospitality of Savannah, Georgia. Everyone enjoyed visiting the Mighty 8th Air Force Heritage Museum and many friendships were developed and renewed. Four members of the original Thunderbird crew were reunited for the first time in over 54 years. Touching photos of that event are available HERE. We offer our thanks and gratitude to Walt Ferrari and his dear wife Ruth for planning and organizing this great event. Our 1997-1998 303rd BGA President and Hell's Angels Newsletter editor, Hal Susskind has stepped down from both responsibilities. We are very grateful to Hal for his service as President and for his many, many years as the Newsletter editor. We are also deeply indebted to his sweet wife Rae for all her help and support. Newly elected as 303rd BGA President for 1998-1999 is Harry D. Gobrecht. Harry is the author of Might in Flight and has done much for the Association over the years. We look forward to his leadership. Our thanks go to Barbara, his bride of over 50 years, for her support and for letting us have even more of his time.
Also elected as Vice President/Administration was Bill Roche. Taking over the responsibility of the Hell's Angels Newsletter will be Eddie Deerfield. Recently appointed to serve as the Vice President in charge of the 1999 Reunion in Oklahoma City is Ed Miller. There were several other changes in the Officers for the upcoming year.
