Fog and strong winds were predominant, giving the 8th AF a change to recover from the second Schweinfurt mission and BLACK WEEK.

October 16, 1944
STRATEGIC OPERATIONS 8th AF: Mission 680: 2 B-17s and 7 B-24s are dispatched on a night leaflet mission to France, the Netherlands and Germany.
