Believed to be Mission #221 Aug 06, 1944 to Genshagen, Germany

Close examination of the photo leads us to believe that B-17G 42-102484 Heller's Angel 359BS (BN-K) is leading this element, with B-17G 44-6291 (No name) 358BS (VK-E) on its right-wing. The other aircraft is unknown. The bombs are believed to be 100 lb incendiary bombs.
